I provided leadership and innovative solutions for the Department of Homeland Security as part of the unique public sector experiment that was the U.S. Digital Service (USDS). A startup launched by The White House during the Obama administration, USDS used design and technology to deliver better services to the American people.
I led a transformation of USCIS's digital product development for enterprise software. Collaborating with people from all levels of the organization, from leadership all the way down to contract developers, I introduced a comprehensive system of product discovery, design and development.
I also worked with FEMA to try to transform their disjointed grant programs into a single, well-orchestrated and efficient digital system.
