Corning, a company that defines itself by innovation, has changed little more on its corporate site than copyright notices over the last few years. This despite a sharp rise in relevance as Corning rolls out products essential to the manufacture of mobile phones, big-screen TVs and automobiles. Simple text changes wouldn't tell the story well enough; the entire content strategy and design of the site needed an overhaul.
Project leads worked with stakeholders to sketch out a rough outline for the site and created a module-based template system for building pages. I fleshed out a content strategy that aligned fully detailed innovation and sustainability content with the overall approach. I then used the template system to design the necessary pages. Finally, I researched, wrote and edited the content.
